Similar to the Martini for gin and the Manhattan for whiskey, the metropolitan is the signature drink for brandy. This timeless recipe blends brandy with sweet vermouth and simple syrup to create a subtle yet gratifying beverage. It serves as an excellent pre-dinner drink.

Ingredients

  • 60ml Beg Rakija
  • 30ml Sweet vermouth
  • 15ml Simple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Instructions

  1. 1 Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice.
  2. 2 Stir for 30 seconds until well chilled.
  3. 3 Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. 4 Garnish with a cherry.
